[He stops speaking abruptly, followed by a loud thud and the sound of some things falling. The communicator hits the ground with a thump and turns off.]

[There's a loud buzzing sound, but unlike most cases, Fay doesn't seem to respond to it at all. Instead, his tone is pretty calm, almost distant.]

Mm... it's getting colder. It looks as if the snow is going to get heavier as well.

I suppose we should all prepare, just in case the situation becomes more dire.

[It's quiet again for a moment, and the the feed just ends.]

[When the video starts, Fay is shown standing, wearing something similar to this, although a bit modified and his longer hair pulled back. He grins widely.]

I have a bit of a request, although I'm not going to get my hopes up for being able to get all the things I need. But I'm looking for a few ingredients for a meal!

I need milk, flour, eggs and butter. I'd think a couple of them can be arranged, but whatever's left, I'm sure I can improvise!

Is there anyone who may be able to help? I'd gladly do something in return for the items, if it's possible!

I'd offer a place to stay for all these new guests, but we're a bit tight on space!

[The feed cuts away again, going blurry. After a moment, it stops. At first, you can see the drawing Syaoran did of a pitchfork. But it pulls away further to show this:

So many things can change over the course of a year~ At least it's always interesting!

We're only a couple of weeks away from Halloween, aren't we? If I remember correctly from last year, at least. I wonder if the scientists will do something to celebrate this year. It was fun getting to see all the festivities last year!

Now, if I'm not mistaken, many people wear costumes to celebrate, correct? I know our resources are limited, but I have a question!

I've been a bit quiet lately, hm~? I suppose it's easy to get distracted when things have been relatively calm. But I don't want communicator-san to get angry with me again!

[He pauses. He has an actual point that he's getting to.]

Anyone who's going to be training with Kuro-chuu is more than welcome to come by to our apartment afterwards to eat! All that hard work should be rewarded with a decent meal~ It's not much since our supplies are fairly meager, but I'll do what I can!

Which reminds me, Kuro-rin, we're going to have to go and get some supplies this week. I presume you'd like to go, yes? And Syaoran-kun as well?

Hm~ It appears this constant fall of ash is getting a bit heavier, isn't it? I'd say my eyes are deceiving me, but it seems to be changing colors. I'm not quite sure that holds any significance, but I do hope everyone is careful if they have to go outside! I wouldn't want anyone getting sick from inhaling too much of that!

[There's a short pause - he's thinking.] Syaoran-kun, Li-kun... are you both doing alright? I feel as if it's been ages since we've spoken! Perhaps we can do something soon~

I'd say quite a bit has changed in Discedo since my arrival! It's almost hard to believe I've been here a whole year now~ It certainly is a strange twist of fate, hm?

It causes me to think~ What makes these scientists decide who stays, and why?

[It's eerily quiet when the feed cuts in - the sound of glass tapping a tabletop can be heard. Breathing, and even a small sigh. The sound is slightly muffled by Fai's fingers fiddling with the communicator; he's thoughtlessly playing with it. After a few minutes, speaking can be heard.]
